Female MBBS Candidates Can Now Apply for the TATA AIG-Avanti Fellows Scholarship

A Fellows Scholarship programme for female MBBS candidates has been introduced by TATA AIG-Avanti. Students studying engineering can also enroll in the program.

Applicants for this program must be female MBBS candidates who have passed the NEET exam. The students must have passed from any Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), State Government School, or Kendriya Vidyalaya in India in Class 12.

In addition to career counseling, the support will last until the course is completed (as long as the students maintain the necessary GPA or % on their semester examinations and can go on in their academic journey).

August 31, 2024, is the deadline for registering for the TATA AIG-Avanti Fellows Scholarship program.

Eligibility Criteria:

a. Gender: Exclusive to female students

b. Educational background: Student must have completed Class 12 at any Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), State Government School, or Kendriya Vidyalaya in India.

c. Category: PwD, Gen-EWS, SC, and ST students may apply.

d. State: Must be a part of any of the following states or union territories: Tripura, Sikkim, Assam, Bihar, Jammu & Kashmir, Mizoram, Jharkhand, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Punjab, Nagaland, Odisha, Meghalaya, Punjab, and Uttar Pradesh

e. Entrance test: Must have passed the 2024 JEE (Main / Advanced) or NEET exam in order to be admitted to a college for a UG program.

f. Colleges: Must be able to get into any of the following: Government Medical Colleges (MBBS); NIT,IISc,IIIT, IISc AIIMS; Top 200 Engineering Colleges (NIRF rating). Female Students who wish to enroll in any of the aforementioned institutions for the 2024–2025 academic year are eligible (only first-year students).

g. UG Courses: Medicine (MBBS only) and Engineering

Advantages of the scholarship:

1. Payment for the following costs: books for academic study, entrance fees, mess fees, hostel fees, tuition, and exam fees

2. If the scholars are able to advance in their academic journey and retain the necessary percentage or GPA in the semester exams, the support will last until the end of the course.

3. One-time gift: A brand-new iPad for medical students, or a brand-new laptop for engineering students.

4. Extra assistance includes counseling sessions, career advising sessions, internship opportunities, training programs connected to placement, mental health support, and many other things.

5. The chance to become a member of the Avanti Alumni Network, which can help, advise, and mentor the scholars

The deadline for registration is August 31, 2024.
