A disturbing case has surfaced from the UK as an Indian-origin nurse and her two children were killed brutally in Northampton.

Anju Asok, 35, was found with severe injuries in her home in Kettering town of Petherton Court in Northampton. However, what exasperated the scene was her children Jeeva (6) and Janvi (4) found with severe injuries alongside her.

Nortampshire Police were informed immediately on December 15. Paramedical staff tried their best to resuscitate and save their lives. However, unfortunately, all three were pronounced dead. Asok died at the scene, and her children were declared dead in the hospital. The post-mortem reports revealed the cause of death to be asphyxiation.

The police have arrested the accused, Saju Chelavalel, the 52-year-old husband of Asok. He has been charged with three counts of murder and appeared in court on December 19.

Senior Investigating Officer, Inspector Simon Barnes said that the police are determined to provide swift justice to the victims. He paid his condolences and thanked the local community for cooperating with the investigation.

Asok was a nurse under the National Health Service (NHS) at the Kettering General Hospital.

STRUGGLE FOR THE LAST GOODBYE

The triple murder case continues to be even more painful. A mountain of sorrow collapsed on Asok's parents after they got the horrific news of their daughter and grandkids being strangulated.

However, to add to their troubles, the family needs around Rs. 30 lakhs to bring the bodies back to India. Asok's parents reside in the Vaikom area of the Kottayam district in Kerala.

A distraught Asok's mother alleged that Saju was cruel and would physically assault her daughter and grandson. They had a love marriage and had shifted to the UK from Saudi Arabia.

She further said that she will not be able to raise such a huge sum of 30 lakh rupees. She pleaded with people for help.
