In Bengaluru, a mother killed her three-and-a-half-year-old daughter by strangulation, the police reported on Friday. The child was allegedly killed by the woman because she had autism.
According to Bengaluru South Deputy Commissioner of Police, the accused mother has twin kids, both of whom have autism.
One of her girls has a minor case of autism, while the other has a severe case. The girl, who had mild autism, had been accepted into a preschool.
The mother turned herself in at the Subramanya Nagar Police Station on Thursday, according to the DCP, after killing her other daughter.
"Upon questioning, the mother said she was worried about how her daughter would lead her life as she was autistic and hence, she decided to murder her," .

"The mother was depressed for the past few months over the fact that her daughter was severely autistic and killed her on Thursday," according to the DCP.
"The woman has been taken into custody and will appear in court. Additional research is underway," he declared.
