A man undergoing brain surgery was earlier spotted strumming a guitar. Christian Nolen, a patient, is shown in a video that the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, Miami, Florida, United States, posted on YouTube. The center claims that Dr. Ricardo Komotar performed his procedure. The foundation disclosed that Nolan had to be conscious during the brain procedure so that the doctors could "evaluate and protect his manual dexterity" while the tumor was being removed.

While the doctors work on Nolan, he can be seen in the video singing along with his guitar. In the video, Komotar, Nolan's surgeon, also talks about Nolan's recovery following the procedure and outlines the procedures.
