Nurse in Uttarakhand Raped and Murdered While Returning from Hospital; Suspect Arrested
Uttarakhand – A nurse from a private hospital in Nanital got brutally raped and murdered while she was returning home from her work. According to the reports this incident took place on July 30. Day after the incident (31st July) the victim’s sister reported a missing complaint to the police and police started the investigation. Eight days later on August 8, the victim’s body was recovered in Uttar Pradesh’s Rampur district which is on the border of Uttarakhand’s Udham Singh Nagrar District.
Police tracked the victim’s stolen phone which led the police to accuse Dharmendra, a daily wage laborer from Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly. Police arrested Dharmendra in Rajasthan on August 14.
He dragged her to the nearby bushes. Raped and strangled her using her scarf.
