The Osmania General Hospital, at Hyderabad, Telangana is set to be relocated from a Nizami heritage structure to the Goshamahal Police Academy by the State government.

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy made this choice in light of the 32 acres of land at Goshamahal in the city heart that are available for a sports complex, police stadium, and other facilities. He gave the concerned officials instructions to move quickly to facilitate the construction of the new structure by transferring the land currently held by the Home Department to the Health Department.

On Tuesday, the Chief Minister met with senior officials to discuss the status of the projects being worked on under the SPEED (smart, proactive, efficient, and effective delivery) scheme. The construction of a new building for Osmania General Hospital, the establishment of 15 new nursing colleges, and 28 paramedical colleges, and the development of facilities for self-help groups were among the 19 works included in the scheme that were discussed during the conference.

Mr. Revanth Reddy gave the officials instructions to ensure that the planned new hospital will meet all requirements for the next fifty years. In addition to ensuring the construction of facilities for the academic block and nursing staff, steps should be taken to provide road access to the hospital in order to minimize discomfort to those traveling from various locations.

The new hospital ought to have amenities comparable to those found in corporate hospitals, and measures should be done to ensure that there is adequate room for fresh air in the infrastructure rather than packing it full of concrete buildings. He desired that authorities bring in reputable architects to complete the plans in this approach.

Simultaneously, Mr. Revanth Reddy announced that the government would take action to safeguard the current OGH's historical structures. In order to make the buildings a popular tourist destination, the government will simultaneously develop them as part of the Musi Riverfront Development project. Since the Home Department had turned over the site to the Health Department, he urged the officials to make arrangements for another location for the City Police Academy.

In order to move the Police Stadium and Sports Complex to Petlaburj, the Hyderabad District Collector was instructed to conduct a field inspection of the Police Transport Academy and the property that borders the Police Academy. In order to ensure that the 15 nursing colleges and hospitals are operational by the next year, the Chief Minister asked the officials to speed up their construction.

Officials should make sure that the institutions are temporarily established in rented buildings, and the nursing colleges in particular should begin operations this year. Regarding the self-help group buildings, Mr. Revanth Reddy stated that the government has decided to begin building the structures in 22 districts over the next few days. Currently, there are offices for SHGs in ten districts.

In order for these structures to have access to all amenities, the government decided to grant them each one acre of land. In addition to asking them to surrender three acres of designated land in the neighborhood of Shilparamam to the relevant agency, he instructed the officials to locate potential sites for our offices.

To promote the SHGs, the facility might be used as a year-round exhibition space for the goods produced by the groups. Actions should be taken to ensure that dignitaries in Hyderabad saw this show.
