Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to launch a plethora of healthcare projects, totaling Rs 12,850 crore, to commemorate the ninth Ayurveda Day and the birth anniversary of Dhanvantari, the revered figure in medicine. This significant healthcare push includes extending the Ayushman Bharat health insurance scheme to all senior citizens aged 70 and above, enhancing healthcare access for the elderly population.

Key Healthcare Initiatives:

Extension of Ayushman Bharat: All senior citizens aged 70 and above will now be covered under this flagship health insurance scheme.

All India Institute of Ayurveda: Phase II of India's first All India Institute of Ayurveda will be inaugurated in the national capital, featuring a Panchakarma hospital, ayurvedic pharmacy, sports medicine unit, central library, IT and start-ups incubation center, and a 500-seat auditorium.

Medical Colleges: Three medical colleges will be inaugurated at Mandsaur, Neemuch, and Seoni in Madhya Pradesh.

AIIMS Facility Extensions: Facility and service extensions will be inaugurated at various AIIMS locations, including Bilaspur, Kalyani, Patna, Gorakhpur, Bhopal, Guwahati, and New Delhi.

Nursing Colleges: Foundation stones will be laid for five nursing colleges in Madhya Pradesh.

Critical Care Blocks: 21 critical care blocks will be established under the Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM) across five states.

Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate five projects under the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for medical devices and bulk drugs in Vapi, Gujarat; Hyderabad, Telangana; Bengaluru, Karnataka; Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh; and Nalagarh, Himachal Pradesh.
Drone Services will be introduced at 11 tertiary healthcare institutions to enhance service delivery and accessibility. This will significantly improve healthcare outcomes, especially in remote areas.

The government is taking significant steps in job creation and innovation. Over 51,000 appointment letters will be distributed to youth as part of the 'Rozgar Mela' initiative, launched by Prime Minister Modi to provide 10 lakh government jobs.
