After his heavily pregnant wife cooked dinner for him for 30 days straight, a Japanese man is receiving backlash on social media. The nine-month-pregnant woman said on X that she had cooked the meals ahead of her due date of May 21, which is when the problem surfaced.

She did this since she planned to stay with her parents for her post-partum recovery rather than move in with her spouse following the delivery. The woman prepared dinners for her husband for a month and froze them because she was worried he wouldn't eat healthily while she was away.

Now that the tale has gone viral on social media, most people are criticizing the spouse for not being able to conduct simple household tasks like cooking. Some accused the woman of treating her husband like a child and coddling him.

"What kind of husband allows his heavily pregnant wife to prepare dinners for the entire month?" inquired one user. Is he inactive at home most of the time? Isn't that merely pampering him?

''How pitiful she is - she's been pregnant for nine months and has a vegetative husband,' said another. "This Japanese woman is bizarre," remarked a third. In addition to being her husband's maid, she is pregnant. What was the diet of her spouse prior to marriage?

Others drew attention to the ways in which these obedient and subservient spouses foster a culture that produces young, incompetent males in household roles. But not everyone found this problematic and instead praised the woman for being a devoted and kind wife.

A few others added that this was a much larger problem because, particularly in Asian nations, millions of men—like the woman's husband—were likewise unlikely to prepare meals for themselves.

"Isn't it the same in all East Asian countries?" a Chinese individual asked. My mom neglected to make dinner for my dad when she traveled to live with me overseas to assist with the baby. For three months, he lived off of steamed buns and noodles, even though he lose muscle mass.
