Throughout India, many people are protesting the Kolkata murder case. During one of these protests, a woman was flashed by an allegedly unstable man.

The incident occurred near the Esplanade crossing, one of the busiest intersections in the city. Many protesters witnessed the event, caught the man red-handed, and immediately called the police.

The police identified the accused as a local man, stating that he is mentally unstable, and let him go. This decision enraged many protesters, who demanded strict and immediate action against both the accused and the police officers who released him.

The woman registered an official complaint under Section 79 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sangita, and the police investigation has begun, including a review of CCTV footage from the area to identify the perpetrator.

The enraged protesters gathered in front of the Deputy Commissioner of Police’s office to demand justice and accountability from the police. This protest was organised by the group Amra Tilotoma.
