Fevikwik is a well-known adhesive glue in India used to repair broken items of wood, plastic, and even metal.
However, have you ever heard of an adhesive gum used to seal a wound? Sounds weird, but sadly, that is exactly what happened at a hospital in Telangana.
Vamshi Krishna and his wife Sunitha attended a wedding with their son Praveen Choudhary in the Jogulamba Gadwal district of Telangana. The 7-year-old Praveen suffered an injury near his left eye after falling while playing.
Praveen was rushed to a nearby hospital where Dr. Nagarjuna was posted for his duty. Dr. Nagarjuna treated the wound using a 'Fevikwik' rather than stitching the wound.
Unfortunately, Pravub started to feel even more pain. The parents found out about the inappropriate treatment after consulting another doctor.
The parents then confronted Dr. Nagarjuna about his negligence. Dr. Nagarjuna said that they were compelled to use the gum due to a power outage. The MBBS doctor is now under investigation.
