In today’s fast-paced world, the pressure to hustle and build wealth through startups and new businesses is immense. Many young people, driven by the allure of early retirement, aim to achieve financial freedom by the age of 30. While hustle culture undoubtedly offers certain advantages, such as rapid career growth and financial success, it also comes with significant downsides. The relentless pursuit of wealth often leads to the neglect of one’s health, a lesson that the 25-year-old founder of the Soshals app learned the hard way.

Kirtarth Mittal, a Mumbai-based entrepreneur and tech enthusiast, embodied the "hustle life" to the fullest. He sacrificed sleep, often getting less than five hours a night, and frequently pulled all-nighters to meet deadlines and push his business forward. His diet suffered as well, with poor eating habits becoming the norm as he prioritized work over nutrition. This unsustainable lifestyle eventually took a toll on his health.

Now my body has started to remind me that I am not 20 anymore.

One morning, Kirtarth woke up with an excruciating headache and experienced multiple episodes of vomiting. Alarmed, he sought medical attention and was hospitalized. This health crisis served as a sobering wake-up call, forcing him to confront the realities of his lifestyle choices. The experience made him realize the dangers of neglecting one’s health in the name of success. In the aftermath of his hospitalization, Kirtarth took to social media to share his story and warn others about the perils of hustle culture. He emphasised that 25 is far too young to be compromising one’s health for the sake of success, urging his followers to find a balance between work and self-care.

I'll be setting up a routine and do my best to follow it. I am old now and I have to accept it. Gone are the college days when pulling all-nighters was cool.

Kirtarth also committed to adopting a healthier routine, promising to prioritize both his physical and mental well-being moving forward. His post resonated with many, serving as a much-needed reminder that health should never be sacrificed in the pursuit of wealth
