A man from Uttar Pradesh's Gorakhpur, Rajgir Mistri aged 46 decided to visit the hospital after complaining of a severe stomach ache. The father of 2 was instructed to get an ultrasound. According to the ultrasound report, there was a piece of flesh in his lower stomach coming in contact with the other organs which led to the development of hernia.
He later went to a free hernia check-up camp to confirm his diagnosis Dr Narendra Dev, a Professor at BRD Medical College, stated that the presence of hernia was clear.
Under the supervision of Dr. Dev, Mistri underwent surgery where it was discovered that the piece of flesh was actually an underdeveloped uterus. The flesh had come out of the stomach membrane and had reached the canal. An ovary was also found next to the uterus.
The surgery however was successful and Dr. Dev stated that he showed no women-like features and that the ovary and the uterus were a birth defect.
